Cinque Terre is in fact a sequence of five cities that are along the Riviera coastline. These, from north to south, are called Monterosso, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola and Riomaggiore. Cinque Terre was the National Park of Italy and is protected by UNESCO since 1997. Why should you come here? Because this land offers you not only dreamlike landscapes, sea, shrines, churches and places of worship, but also delicious food and quality wine. Here is a brief description of the five cities.
Riomaggiore – this town is divided into two parts and if you go through a tunnel, at the end of it you will get into a dream place with colorful houses and uncrowded beaches. You can quietly explore the region and the beaches. Vineyards here are spectacular and the wine will surely quench your thirst.
Corniglia – is situated on a hill, from where you can admire the magnificent view which is spreading before your eyes. To get here, you have to climb 382 steps. It is the smallest town of all five, but is at the highest altitude. Nudist beach Guvano and fortification ruins Genovese will make sure not to get bored during your stay here.
Vernazza – is the ideal place to rest and relax while being pampered with culinary delights of the area, a mixture of Mediterranean and Italian influences. Beautiful vineyards, a castle in ruins and Palazzo with its verandas are just some of the attractions you must see.
Monterosso al Mare – is the largest city and has the biggest beach. You can swim freely, you can visit the impressive ruins of the castle here, with its towers or you can explore the remains of an impressive stone statues, located at the end of the beach. Places for pray and Capuchin Monastery must be visitated.

Manarola – is the urban jewel of Cinque Terre, due to the nature and romance of the area. On the seashore you will find colorful and picturesque houses, fish restaurants. You can swim in the clear and warm waters and must necessarily see the white pyramid, a reference point for the sailers.
